It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Catherine Thompson (Youngstown, Ohio), who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Leetch and Birdie Ludwick; her stepfather Robert Laughner; her husband James Robinson Thompson; and her stepsiblings, Eleanor Shaw, Robert Laughner and James Laughner.
She is survived by: her son James N. Thompson of Watkinsville, GA; her grandchildren, Jennifer L. Haynie (John) of Watkinsville, GA and David J. Thompson (Stephanie) of Walnut Grove, GA; her sisters, Virginia Baun of Salem, OH and Audrey Duvall (Howard) of Dayton, OH; and her caregiver Sylvia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
