It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rosetta Young (Youngstown, Ohio), born in Selma, Alabama, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mothers, Mittie Jackson and Beatrice Jackson (Pablo Ortiz); her sons, Robert Young, Frank Young and Alvin Ray; and her siblings, Eva Smith, Exie Hill, Beatrice Stanford, Lena Bell Battle, Leroy Jackson and Jesse Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Ora Dothard of Youngstown, OH., Connie Sims of Dallas, TX., Linda Brown of Alexandria, LA., Tiffany Mosley and Kenneth Young (Giovani) of Chester, VA.; and her granddaughter Aretha Ray. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren.
