She is survived by: her daughter Karen Matey of Slidell, LA; her granddaughter Melissa Esqueda (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Ella of New Orleans, Alexandra of New Orleans, Daniel of New Orleans and Charlotte of New Orleans; and her siblings, Eleanor Hughes, Florence O'Neal, Marge Goodall and Robert Hughes.
