She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Nuce and Clarence Nuce; her husband Jack John Matey; her siblings, Nellie Brajdic, Genevieve Ashton and Pete Nuce; and her grandchildren, Carrie Matey and Ashley Matey.

She is survived by: her sons, Tim, James (Sandy Soriano), Timothy and John Matey (Betsy); her grandchildren, Laura Matey (Christopher Cook), Diana Taggart (Matthew), Andrew Matey, Melissa Matey (Daniel Esqueda), Kayla Matey (Andrew Samuels), Patrick and Ian Matey; and her brother William Nuce. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
