He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard T. Viets Sr. and Anita Syron. He is survived by: his sons, Thomas J. Gallison (Valerie), Matthew Weller, Richard T. Viets III and Andrew Viets; and his sisters, Tara Szoke, Leah Murell (Rob) and Sara Syron.
