He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Martin and Marcella Abbott (Hamilton); his wife Patricia Ann Russert; and his siblings, Joseph, Albert, Walter and Alice Abbott.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen Abbott; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara North and Sandra Thompson (Robert).
