He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren "Babe" Hartwig and Patricia Hartwig; his siblings, Tom, John and Mary Hartwig; his brother-in-law Jerry Resatar; and his close friend C. R. (Chuck Richards).
He is survived by: his significant other Pam Scharrer; his children, P. J. (Katrina), Jason and Kati Hartwig; the mother of his children Linda Hartwig; his stepdaughter Kathleen Graham (Robert); his siblings, Robert Hartwig, Bill Hartwig, Patty Resatar and Sue Sferra (Rich); his granddaughters, Madison, Allison and Tenley Graham; his nieces and nephews, Cathi Christopher (Chuck), Matt Resatar, Anthony Sferra (Tori), Audrey Sferra, John Hartwig (Courtney), Brian Hartwig (KerriAnn) and Stacy Best (John); and his pet Lily. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Paul's memory to the American Heart Association and/or the American Cancer Society.
