He is survived by: his father Clarence Bates of Warren; his daughters, Candace Lee Bates (Tara Jefferson) of Victoria and Ashley Lauren Bates; his wife Sandi Bates (DePerro); his daughter British Columbia (Ashley Bates); his siblings, Carl Bates of Port St and Paula McGee (Tom McGee) of Canton; his grandchildren, Kingston, Lincoln and London Bates; and his pets, Bennett and Lyle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
