He was predeceased by: his parents, William Armstrong and Marcella Armstrong (McGowan); his siblings, John, William and Patricia Thornton (Armstrong); and his former wife Patricia (Froble).
He is survived by: his wife Diane Armstrong (Grantz); his stepchildren, Jo Ellen Albanese (Anthony) of Columbus and L. Scott Saluga (Lisa) of Warren; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hedderman (Lauren), Zachary Saluga (Kaitlyn), Colby Albanese and Chase Albanese; his great grandchildren, London and Hayden Saluga; his sister-in-law Cheryl Armstrong; and his nieces, Michelle Fairhurst, Tricia Fairhurst, Lindsay Smith (Todd), Mary Kay Woodruff (Mark) and Maureen Files (Steve). He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew.
