It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nannette Shaffer (Youngstown, Ohio), born in Marion, Ohio, who passed away on October 27, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis E. and Helen M. (Lutz); her husband Fred; and her sister Margaret. She is survived by: her brother Tom Navin; her children, Susy Schumann (Dave) and Tim Shaffer (Nikki); her grandchildren, Matthew Schumann (Alicia), Christopher Schumann (Elizabeth), Erin Ripper (Dave), Eric Schumann (Taylor), Kevin Shaffer (Jenn), Katie Parkhurst (Kevin) and Emily Albanese (Lorenzo); and her stepgrandchildren, Cole and Macyn Smith. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
While she entered the world on the eve of the Great Depression and departed during the great pandemic, the life lived in between was a storybook.
