He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Vath and Margaret McLaughlin Vath; his sister Joan; his sister-in-law Maggie Lowry; and his nephew Michael Lowry, Jr..

He is survived by: his significant other Christine Lowry; his children, John Vath, Jr. and Erin Vath of Youngstown; his siblings, Dan, Buddy, Cathy, Renee and Kim; his grandchildren, Blaze, Brionna, Alissa and Cayden; and his friend Sav.

The Vath family has requested that all people coming to the visitation and or funeral please wear a mask.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family for local charities.
