He is survived by: his mother Geraldine Phillips of Washington; his wife Migdalia Diaz; his children, Francesca Pendel (Justin) of Baden, PA, Michael S. McClendon, II (Emily Boitel) of Silver Spring, MD and Kaitlin McClendon (Tanner Bivens) of Aurora, IL; his grandson Sterling Boitel; his brothers, Patrick McClendon of Denver, CO, Benjamin McClendon (Marci Lampkin) of Youngstown, Anthony Bryant of Columbus, GA and Douglas Pugh of Warren; and his siblings-in-law, Francisco Diaz, Jr. of Youngstown and Iris Diaz of Youngstown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
