He is survived by: his former wife Beatrice Hendrix; his son Robert (Melvin Jr.); his siblings, Wayne, Cathy and Trina; his grandchildren, Robert Jr., Chelsea, Celena, Katryna, Melvin III, Jaloni and Jalena; and his close friend Faye. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, extended family friends.
