With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Veronica Simstad of Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on December 12, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Fox and Alice H. Morrison Fox; her husband Barry George Simstad; her parents-in-law, George and Dorothy Simstad; her sister Julianne Hammar; her brother-in-law Joe Phillips; and her brother John Fox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lindsay Simstad (Justin Banasiewicz) of Youngstown and Megan Giavonette (Ricky) of Cleveland; her close friend Rick Backer; her siblings, Donna Fox Phillips of Mesa, AZ., Alice Fox of Oak Island, NC., Martha Fox Baytos (Jeff) of Monroe, GA. and Edward Fox (Nancy) of Canfield; and her siblings-in-law, Debora Simstad Allyn (Tim) of Fairport, NY. and Jerry Hammar (Sheila) of Hudson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Molly will be privately laid to rest with her husband, and next to her parents at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown. Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be held when we can all gather together safely.
