She was predeceased by: her parents, Anne (Joyce) and Thomas Joyce of County Mayo; her husband John Thornton of County Mayo; her sisters, Sara Joyce and Margaret Joyce Heffernan; and her brother-in-law Michael Heffernan.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Patrick Thornton of Burke, VA, John Michael Thornton of Parma and Mary Anne Thornton Schultz of Upland, CA; and her granddaughter Deanna Renee Schultz of San Diego, CA..
