It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha James (Youngstown, Ohio), born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lane and Leola Lane; her siblings, Evangerine Collins, Mamie Cunninghan and George Lane (Lawrence James); and her son Ronald Stewart.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence James; her children, Johnny Stewart, Linda Stewart, Sammy Stewart, Ann Stewart, Lorraine Stewart, Theresa Stewart and Richard Stewart; and her stepsiblings, Christopher Lane (Alamba) of Mobile and Selina Barnette of Cincinnati. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
