She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rocco Berardino and Mary Berardino (Gentile); her husband Stephen "Sy" Yaniw; and her siblings, Eva Beradino of Boardman, Elizabeth J. Toman of Hubbard, Joseph, John, Ralph, Elliott, Irene Perry, Margaret Palko and Philomena Koss. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests material tributes take the form of donations to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
