With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luther Alonzo Counts (Youngstown, Ohio), born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 15, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Counts Sr. and Madelyn Jackson Counts; and his siblings, Shirley Williams and Marilyn Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Wylene Counts; his daughters, Melissa Shaifer of San Francisco, CA, Shannon Counts of Boardman, OH, Dr. Terri Robinson (Curtis) of Rootstown, OH and Shari Garner of Youngstown, OH; his brother Col. Clyde Counts of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Brian Shaifer, Drew Shaifer, Erica Hayden, Braxton Hymes, Morgan White (Jeffrey), Dr. Summer W. Luckey and Sydne'Robinson; and his great grandchildren, Jade White and Khyrie Silcott. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
