He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Boone (McKinney); his parents, Claymond Boone and Georgia Boone; and his siblings, Jimmy, Robert, Ted C. Boone and Jane Clark (Paul).

He is survived by: his children, S. Jenise Veris (Kim), Kenneth C. Boone, Kristin T. Boone and Tamika Rhodes; his stepdaughters, Tracie Edwards and Cynthia LeVert; his grandchildren, Justin, Kyle Veris (Colleen), Kristin Martin, Kara Boone, Ke'Ania Boone, Andrew Rhodes, Taylor and Aaron Edwards; and his great grandchildren, Sadie Vines, Luca, Londyn Veris and Ella Kortan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer Association.
