She was predeceased by: her parents, Steven Spangel and Elizabeth "Bessie" Spangel; and her brother Richard Spangel. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Pesta; her children, Robbie Kale (Linda Wray), Gregory Kale (Stella), Geoffrey Kale and Andrea Crook (Nick Moamis); her sister Sharon Sabatka; her grandchildren, Patrick, Rory, Ashley (Kevin Lockwood), Brendan, Ryan, Nicholas and Adam; her great grandchildren, Kennedy, Addison and Mason; and her nephews, Devin and Anthony Sabatka.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 6:45 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home - Boardman-Canfield Chapel (3701 Starr Centre Dr, Canfield, OH 44406). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Christine Church (3165 S Schenley Ave, Youngstown, OH 44511).
Memorial contributions can be made to the family for the Robert W. Kale scholarship for the Arts Program at Boardman High School in memory of Joyce.
