It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Shields (Youngstown, Ohio), born in Alligator, Mississippi, who passed away on August 12, 2019, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ann Redmond; his grandmother Florence Kidd; his nephews, Joeray L Redmond and Cameron S Redmond; and his brother-in-law Columbus E. Jones Sr..
He is survived by: his siblings, Raymond L Redmond (Marcella Redmond) and Viesta Jones; his children, Delphine A, Margaret J Shields, DeShawn L. Williams, Joseph Shields Jr. and Darnell Williams; his stepsons, Tremain L Williams and Brain Williams; and his brother-in-law Roosevelt Battle. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
