He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chismar and Mary Chismar (Maurer); his siblings, Anthony Chismar, Mary Pauline Kral and Dorothy Chismar Stolar; his nephew Edward Chismar Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Chismar, Mariann Chismar, Barbara Chismar and Jane Chismar.
He is survived by: his brothers, William Chismar, Michael Chismar, John Chismar (Elizabeth) and Edward Chismar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
