He was predeceased by: his parents, Clemmon C. Caffey and Lillian Womack Caffey; and his brother James E. Caffey. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Thomas Caffey; his children, Joseph L. Caffey Jr, Dexter A., Timothy A. Caffey Sr. and Sharon D. Smith; and his siblings, Marvin C. Caffey, Samuel C. Caffey (Barbara), Paul A. Caffey (Barbara), Ida M. James (Ernest) and Claretta J. Dahn (Oscar). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and dear friends.
