He was predeceased by: his parents, Johann Thomae and Katharina Eisner Thomae; his son-in-law David Avery; his sister Katharina Reschner; and his brothers-in-law, Martin Reschner, Tibor Pusztai and Paul Shuger.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Avery, Hildegarde Tucker (Tonnie) and Gertrude Thomae (Steve Pompura); his sisters, Sophia Pusztai and Marge Shuger; his grandchildren, John, Pamela (Mike), Priscilla (Brian), Sonny, Jennifer and Rachael; and his great grandchildren, Lauren, Mason, Seth and Aiden. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and great nieces.
