He is survived by: his spouse Jody Donchess (Zerbonia); his children, Jeff Donchess (Annie Geary), Dana Schmit (Jason Schmit) and Parker Jo Schmit; and his sisters, Debbie Donchess Minkley (John Minkley) and Jan Donchess. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
