He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel J. Cappitte and June A. Cappitte (Fleischer); his son Russell A Cappitte; and his sister Ruth Cappitte. He is survived by: his spouses, Kathleen Cappitte (Davis) and May; his children, John Cappitte Jr. (Colleen) of Columbus, Edward Cappitte (Cindy) of Youngstown, Steven Cappitte (Lori) of Campbell, Kim Cappitte of Youngstown and Kristina Kimbrough (George) of Austintown; and his siblings, Samuel Cappitte Jr. (Rose), Daniel Cappitte (Joann), Billy Cappitte (Doug), Elizabeth Panno (Al), Beverly Pazel (Frank) and June Lincoln. He is also survived by dog "Baby" and cat "Molly", 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
