He was predeceased by: his parent John Walter; his sisters, Dorothy Miller and Margaret Lewis; his nephew Ronald Miller; and his great-nephew Keith Miller.
He is survived by: his parent Blanche Catherine Hunter (Booth); his wife Janice Marie Smith; his children, Joyce Kirkpatrick (Robert) of Girard, Judy DeDonato (Stephen) of Maumee, Ohio, John Hunter (Alexia) of Columbus, Ohio and James Hunter (Amanda) of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Kellie Kakkasseril (Pratheek) of Canfield, Robert Kirkpatrick (Natalie) of Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, Amy DeDonato of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Krista Neal (Jason) of Austintown, Ryan Kirkpatrick of Boardman and Emily DeDonato of Chicago; and his great grandchildren, Maya, Colin, Anjali Kakkasseril, Karadee, Aubrey, Evelynn, Connor Kirkpatrick and Anna Neal.
