He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Wirtz and Ruth Sweeney Wirtz; and his brothers, Robert, Justin and William Wirtz.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Christoff; his children, John Wirtz Jr. (Catherine) of Medina, Lisa Secora of Twinsburg, Mark Wirtz of Poland and Michael Wirtz (Jenna) of Poland; and his grandchildren, Jacob Wirtz, Nicholas Wirtz, Michael Secora, Magan Secora, Jason Secora, Ava Wirtz, Audrey Wirtz, Jack Wirtz, Bridget Wirtz, Toni Wirtz, Henry Wirtz and Daniel Wirtz.
