He is survived by: his wife Karleen Clark; his sons, Derek Sanders (Melinda) of St. Louis, MO and Darrell Sanders (Frances) of Groveport, OH; his grandchildren, Kimarra Minor (Jamie) of Groveport, OH, Mikarra Reed (Donavon) of Whitehall, OH, Deneja Phillips of Youngstown, OH, Derek Sanders Jr. of Youngstown, OH and Danielle Napier-Sanders of Lewis Center, OH; his goddaughter Emily Bonner (Sean) of Cleveland, OH; and his sisters, Lula Montford (Riley) of Griffin, GA and Ida M. Morris of Youngstown, OH. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rising Star Baptist Church (2943 Wardle Ave, Youngstown, OH 44505). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
