She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Justin and Ruth Elizabeth Smith (Motz); her husband John Hunter; and her siblings, Otis "Butch" Smith and Patricia Melek.

She is survived by: her children, Joyce Kirkpatrick (Robert) of Girard, Judy DeDonato (Stephen) of Holland, OH, John Hunter (Alexia) of Columbus, OH and James Hunter (Amanda) of San Antonio, TX; her grandchild Kellie Kakkasseril (Pratheek) of Canfield; her children, Robert Kirkpatrick (Natalie) of Lexington, KY, Amy DeDonato of San Francisco, CA, Krista Neal (Jason) of LaGrange, KY, Ryan Kirkpatrick of Austintown and Emily Karras (Constantine) of Chicago, IL; her great grandchildren, Maya, Colin and Anjali Kakkasseril; her grandchildren, Karadee, Aubrey, Evelynn, Connor Kirkpatrick, Anna and Avery Neal; and her sisters, Emmalyn Borak (James) of Youngstown and Mary Flandrick of Pasadena, CA..
