With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Joy Hamaker of Youngstown, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Janet Joy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Patterson and Sally Harris Patterson; and her son Richard B. Hamaker. She is survived by: her husband Dick; her children, Judy Wertz of Youngstown and Wally Hamaker (Nann) of Las Vegas, Nevada; her daughter-in-law Amy Jo Anderson of Austintown; and her sister Shirley Eckley (Tom) of Hubbard. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
However, contributions in her memory may be made to the Mahoning Valley Animal Charities.
