He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lewis and Velma Brooks Lewis; his son Terrance Lewis; and his siblings, Johnita Jordon and Alvonser.
He is survived by: his son James Jr.; his stepdaughters, Cassandra, Edwina and Tonia; his siblings, Melvin, Roy (Michelle) and Deloris; and his niece Tracy Jordan. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
