James Evans Ray Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Evans Ray (Youngstown, Ohio), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2025 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ray and Margaret Ream Ray; and his brother Donn Ray. He is survived by: his former wife Suzanne Pool Anzellotti; his children, Tim Ray (Leslie), Peter Ray (Sue) and Heather Karp (Jeff); his stepchildren, Robert Anzellotti (Barbara), Mindy Schlicht and Jay Anzellotti (Jen); his grandchildren, Becca Ray, Kellan Ray, Ethan Ray, Aubrie Ray, Hayley Karp, Peyton Karp, Courtney Karp, Haley Schlicht, Joshua Schlicht, Nicolas Anzellotti, Theadora Anzellotti, Luise Anzellotti, Catherine Anzellotti and Samuel Anzellotti; and his sister Betsy Dimond. He is also survived by three children, three stepchildren, and 14 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (201 Wick Ave, Youngstown, OH 44503). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
