He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo DeCapua and Gladys DeCapua (Scoville); his wife Theresa; his siblings, June Marie, Gladys May DeCapua, Doris Jean Catheline, Joanne Schneider, Janice LaLama, Robert LeRoy and Angelo Jr. DeCapua; his children, Jeanette Klukan and James Jr.; his grandson David Battisti; and his pet Abbey.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Ihnat (Nickolas) of Twinsburg, Ralph DeCapua (Marianne) of Sarasota, FL, Gene DeCapua (Janet) and Stephen DeCapua (Traci) of Canfield; his son-in-law James Klukan; his grandchildren, Daniel Battisti (Leslie), Jerry DePizzo (Katherine), Stephen DePizzo (Jennifer), Christina Laboy (Andrew), Laura Nalin, Morgan DeCapua and Grant DeCapua; his great grandchildren, Sophia, Isabella DePizzo, Henry and Audrey Laboy; and his caregivers, Linda Lardin, Merlene Richards, Mandy Price, Kelley Marki, Daniel Miller, Brock Wooten, Taylor Minenok, Taylor Reese, Joey Lambright, Audra Bush, Lauren Pepperney, Toni Francis, Melissa Johnson, MacKenzie Larch, MacKenzie Goodin, Marissa Marzano, Mallory Malmer and Sam Snyder.
