He was predeceased by: his siblings, Cynthia Reardon and Mike Ryan; and his parents, James Sr. Ryan and Gertrude Sullivan Ryan. He is survived by: his sister JoAnne Read of Louisville, KY.; and his children, Vicky Oelke (Bob) of Collierville, TN, Kerry Gerken (Phil) of Geneva, OH, Molly Boswell of Dayton, OH, Katie Sauser (Mark) of Memphis, Marty (Eleanor) of Cleveland, OH and Maureen Baker (Ken) of Knoxville, TN..
