The memory of Ion Badescu of Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on January 12, 2025 at the age of 74, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, Ion is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pavel Badescu and Solomia Badescu; and his grandmother Anuta. He is survived by: his wife Maria Badescu (Bota) of Youngstown, OH; his daughters, Diana Davis (Mike) of Canfield, OH and Maria Boulos (Anthony) of Canfield, OH.; his brother-in-law Todor Bota of Youngstown, OH; his sister Maria Badescu of Prigor, Romania.; and his grandchildren, James and Sofia.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home (3100 Canfield Rd, Youngstown, OH 44511). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church (626 Wick Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502).
