He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Joseph Sr. and Mary (Stiegler); and his brother John "Jack" Gourley. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Connell; his daughters, Elizabeth Wingo (Dylan) of Ellicott City, Meghan Gourley of Frederick and Lisa Gourley of Rancho Cucamonga, California; his grandson Noah Wingo; and his sister Marilyn Mazzei (Tom) of Akron. He is also survived by many grand-dogs, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
