He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Mitchell and Francis Mitchell (Park); his daughter Lynn D. Duerr; his brother Robert Mitchell; and his brother-in-law Bob Logue.
He is survived by: his wife Carolynn "Lynn" Bean; his children, Pamela A. Mitchell of Lawrenceville, NJ, Mark A. Mitchell (Amy) of Hubbard, OH and Stephen L. Heck of Doyle, CA; his son-in-law Karl Duerr of Ponce Inlet, FL; his grandchildren, Kristen, Nina and Ian; his sister Patricia Logue of Mission Viejo, CA; his close friend John Klimko of Poland; and his caregivers, Francesca Hodge, Nicole, Ashley and Madonna. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting material tributes take the form of contributions to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, OH 44406 or to the Angels of Easter Seals, 299 Edward Street, Youngstown, OH 44502-1599 in memory of George.
