He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard M. Smith and Patricia S. Smith; and his brother Richard Volosin Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Pam Volosin (Dennis Holisky) of Poland and Greg Volosin of Boardman; and his nieces and nephews, Kate Gaul (Eric), Ben Volosin (Kaitlyn McCormick), Bill Hiznay (Bethany), Joshua Hiznay (Olivia), Cody Hiznay (Erica), Dennis Holisky Jr. (Travis Kinkade) and Chelsea Holisky.

In lieu of flowers material tributes may take the form of donations to a charity of the donor's choice.
