He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Olsavsky and Marion Olsavsky (Tokoly); his brother Donald Olsavsky; and his brothers-in-law, James Reardon and Dick Cooley.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Lyden McCarthy Oles; his children, Mark L. Oles (Barbara) of Poland, Mary Jude Naples Jr. (Ralph) of Liberty, Suzanne Reese (Jim) of Cincinnati and Paul Oles (Andrea) of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Mark A. Oles (Sarah), Elizabeth Smith (Ken), Nicholas Oles (Nichole), Christina Denham (Scott), Ralph III and Jacob Reese; his great grandchildren, Declan and Estella Smith; his sisters, Alice Reardon of McDonald and Virginia Cooley of Cleveland; his sister-in-law Nancy Olsavsky; and his stepchildren, Kathleen Gibson (Don), John V. McCarthy (Janet), Mark McCarthy (Polly), Sheila Fassler (John), Patrick McCarthy (Julie) and Maureen Rable (Brian). He is also survived by 17 step-grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dominic's Catholic Church for Mr. Garrett L. Oles, 83, who died Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana.
