It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth C. Bednar of Youngstown, Ohio, born in Struthers, Ohio, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Jakabcin and Helen Jakabcin; and her siblings, Stephen, Valent, Michael Tarajcak, Joseph Jacobson, Mary Carter, Ann Anderson, Frances Loncar and Eleanor Rigelsky.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Marlene Bednar, MD of Boardman and Albert J. Bednar (Carol) of Boardman; her grandchildren, Dr. Ashley Berninghaus and Matthew Berninghaus (Amanda) of Lakewood, CO; and her pets, Benny and Rusty. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Elizabeth's name to Animal Charity of Boardman, 4140 Market St, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
