He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar H. Burke and Eloise Gamble Burke; his daughter Sonya Burke; and his siblings, Jackie Vene, Patricia Jones, Juanita Burke, Denise Clayton, Leslie Burke, Sherryl Steward and Helen Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine E. Nicholson; his children, Edward J. Burke Jr. (Connie) of Campbell, Alicia Clark (Harlie) of Atlanta, GA and Angela Burke-Wylie (Rick) of Atlanta, GA; his stepsons, Andrew Nicholson of Youngstown and Desmond Harris of Youngstown; his brother Kevin Burke of Columbus; his aunt Waldine Lincoln; his cousins, Gregory Lincoln and Craig Montgomery; his nieces, Dedrie Haywood and Autumn Blackmon (Demond); and his close friends, Lee Scott, Jerry Fields and Edward Gowdy. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 a. m. Guests are asked to wear masks.
