He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dale Stratton and Linda Stratton Fulmer of Boardman; his brother Dennis Stratton of Nashville, TN; his grandmother Bassha Stratton; his extended family, Geary Fleischer, Courtney Doyle and Nicholas Fleischer (Julie); his grandparents, May, Clarence Zimmerman and Robert Stratton; and also, Madilynn, Jillian and Jacob.

Derrick's kindness and generosity he displayed in life continued even after his passing through his gift of organ donation.
