She was predeceased by: her parents, Dutch Charles and Maxine Charles (Lockwood); her husband Charles A. Smithberger; and her son-in-law Jeffry Schantz. She is survived by: her children, Paige Schantz of Boardman, Pamela N. Jay (Steve) of Boardman and Chad A. Smithberger (Nichole) of Poland; her grandchildren, Evan Schantz, Griffin Schantz, Jared Jay, Sarah Jay, Nathan Smithberger, Samantha Burnbrier and Dayna Donnadio; her brother Larry D. Charles (Sandra) of New Mexico; and her nephews, Brad Smithberger (Charlena) of Ohio and Joe Smithberger (Sylvia) of New Mexico.
Due to COVID-19, there will be a private funeral service on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street in Boardman with Pastor Adam Rodgers officiating.
