With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bettye Barnes of Youngstown, Ohio, born in Struthers, Ohio, who passed away on December 5, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Blakeny and Alma Trussell Blakeny; her son Michael Barnes; and her siblings, Charles Blakeny Jr., Isadore Blakeny, Muriel Bryant, Marlene Lewis and Marjorie D. Warren.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Dr. Homer Warren of Youngstown, Phillip Warren of Youngstown, Art Bryant of Georgia, Douglas Blakeny of Georgia, Marcia Holbrook of Dayton, Jill Carter (Bill) of Youngstown and Annette Carter (Andre) of Akron. She is also survived by great nephews, great nieces, relatives and friends.
