He is survived by: his wife Bernice Moore; his daughters, April Johnson, Brenetta Christian and Juanita Caldwell; his sister Gussie Finley; his son Jason Heard; and his siblings, Mary Strickland, Katherine Bailey, Pauline Hill, Inez Hamilton, Bernice McNeil (Alma Brooks), Carl, Edward, James and Clinton Heard. He is also survived by friends which includes his 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
