It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alfonso Robinson of Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Crosby Jake and Rhoda William Robinson; his daughter Tillie Rodgers; his siblings, Jack, Willie H., Donald, Lester, Theodore, Mattie Mae Thompkins, Betty Lou Dale, Dorothy Warren, Helen Randolph and Mary Moody; and his grandsons, Troy White and Lamar Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Willie Delores Smith; his children, George Robinson of Youngstown, Terry A Robinson (Althea) of Youngstown, Ricky Robinson of Youngstown, Lamont "Charlie" Robinson of Youngstown, Beverly Douglas of Centerville and Emery Robinson of Columbus; and his brothers, Joseph Robinson of Youngstown and Raymond Robinson of Gulf Shores, Alabama. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; and two great great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt Zion Baptist Church (827 Wilson Ave, Youngstown, OH 44506). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
