It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Okey (Yorkville, Ohio), born in Woodsfield, Ohio, who passed away on May 7, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Okey and Dessie Okey; and his sister Louella "Sally" Patti. He is survived by: his significant other Carole Crossland of Yorkville, Ohio; his children, Natasha Nixon (Brad) of Barnesville, Luke Okey (Brianna) of Bethesda and Jon-Michael Okey of Woodsfield; the mother of his children Cathy Okey of Barnesville; his siblings, Myrna Minder (late Robert) of Woodsfield, Leona Hoskinson of Barnesville, Gerald Okey (Arlene) of Sardis, Carol Kuhn (Rich) of Woodsfield and Larry Okey (Carolyn) of Dover; his cousin Jack Okey (Karen) of Erie; and his grandchildren, Jaiden Butler, Bradie Nixon, Lynnlee Nixon and Leia Okey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.

Due to Covid-19 only immediate family members gathered at Schuetz Funeral Home in Mingo Jct.. on May 9, 2020.
