He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Stammen and Margaret Stammen (Zimmer); his siblings, Dave, Jim, Arnold and Patricia Cherry; and the mother of his children Judith Swart.
He is survived by: his children, Brett Stammen (Missi) of Vandalia and Amber Stammen (Stu Moats) of Yellow Springs; his grandson Adler Stammen; his stepgrandson Landen Moats; and his brothers, Tim and Joe Stammen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
