He is survived by: his siblings, Chester, Andrew, Donny, Margette and Margarite; his son Butch; his former wife Vera Berry; his wife Ernestine Hines; his sons, Vernon Hines (Susan) and Danny Benning (Denise); and his grandchildren, Bunnie, Darnelle Benning, Tracie Steele, Sean, Ronald Jenkins, Travis Hines and Derrick Benning.
